Gypsys

Australian bistro style where you never leave hungry!!!  Laid back atmosphere with great food and good range of fine wines. A really good value brunch menu.  100m around the corner past Papa John's near the bow of the ship.

The Snake Pit  - it's 5 o'clock somewhere!

Founded in 1987, the Snake Pit is China's oldest expat club and has over 4500 members worldwide.  Located in Taizi Square just behind Pizza Hut, the Pit features a cozy bar, a lounge area with library and TV and welcomes all guests to Shekou.

Mama's

In the old Shekou area near A-Best supermarket.  Serves a mixture of Italian food - paste and pizza but has now added Lebanese to the cuisine and Maatouk's own brand of famous ice cream and gelato. 


Cheers Bar
A great little sports bar in Coastal Rose Garden 2 down near SIS Bayside campus.  A good range of beers, wines and pub food plus a very friendly atmosphere from the "locals".  Loads of sport  including NFL,  NHL, MLB, NBA, rugby, Aust. Rules footy, soccer on the large TVs plus a dart board and pool table.

McCawleys Irish Bar

Pub grub with generous portions - wash it down with a pint of Guinness or Kilkenny.  Popular with local expats for work day lunch. Live music most nights starting about 9.30pm. Good range of souvenirs.

Kosmos

Popular coffee shop in the main square just down from the 7-Eleven.  Has a good range of health drinks plus good coffee blends and pastry snacks.  Open early and popular with the oil men - also has English language newspapers & magazines.
