Shekou is a small enclave on the waterfront 30km west of the downtown area of Shenzhen. In the 1980s major oil companies came chasing oil in the South China Sea and chose Shekou as a base and so expats started arriving.
Now there are many other industries in Shenzhen and ex-pats continue to choose Shekou as a base for its relaxed lifestyle and many "western" facilities. It is only one hour to Hong Kong and only 25 minutes to Hong Kong airport via the very convenient ferry service.
Recently
we have opened a branch office focusing on the OCT area closer to the
heart of Shenzhen, so can now offer expertise in housing there too.
